Participatory Arts
I have worked within justice contexts through TIPP and Back on Track. This work focuses on creative engagement as a tool for reflection and communication, supporting individuals who have been incarcerated to explore recovery and rehabilitation through visual processes within structured environments.
My approach is grounded in trauma-informed practice, shaped by both lived experience and research. I work with people who are often emotionally vulnerable or have been excluded from accessing the arts, so empathy and trust are central. I focus on creating spaces that feel safe, low-pressure, and open, where people can engage on their own terms. This also feeds back into my visual work, which often explores protection, control, and the need to construct spaces where difficult experiences can be held without being simplified.
